BH-55 Ballhead from Really Right Stuff
When you want to make the best quality images you cannot scrimp on the quality of you tripod and head setup. A good stable base for your camera is the first stop to sharper images. The best head available at the moment is the BH-55 from Really Right Stuff. It is huge but its size is what gives it its smooth action and lock down tight rigidity even with the longest lenses n the windiest of conditions. Many people complain about using a tripod and the time wasted and hassle it causes. This head takes away all the hassles and makes shooting from a tripod a pleasure and the sharp images are just reward. You still have to carry it though.
