When it is not on a pole commanded by the SU-800 wireless commander unit the flash is on a Wimberley Tele or Macro Bracket and connected with either a cut down SC-17 (shortened to about 20cm) or a SC-29 when I still need AF assist illumination. These cables allow all the functionality of on camera flash with out the boring, same old front on, on-camera flash lighting.

Flash Cables sc-17 sc-29

I shoot a lot of flash but don’t have the SB in the hot shoe very often. When it is not on a pole commanded by the SU-800 wireless commander unit the flash is on a Wimberley Tele or Macro Bracket and connected with either a cut down SC-17 (shortened to about 20cm) or a SC-29 when I still need AF assist illumination. These cables allow all the functionality of on camera flash with out the boring, same old front on, on-camera flash lighting.
