SD-8a Battery Pack
With a camera that shoots at over 8 frames a second and a flash that takes 4 seconds to recharge you are going to miss a few shots, unless you help it out a little. Making sure your flash doesn’t have to dump a full load each frame by using wide apertures, higher ISO and a better beamer is a good start but adding a battery pack to reduce the recharge time is the icing on the cake. The SD-8a takes 6 AA batteries (I am now using 290mha NiMh) to reduce the time so that I can shoot at 8 frames per second when using the SB-800 as a fill. Easy. |
