The 500D from Canon is an excellent way to shoot macro while keeping the versatility of a zoom lens without the extra weight of a dedicated macro, with very little image degradation.

Canon 500D close up filter 500d

I love to shoot macro. I don’t always carry a dedicated macro lens with me and when I don’t my preferred way to get close with a zoom lens is by using a dual element close-up dioptre. The 500D from Canon is an excellent way to shoot macro while keeping the versatility of a zoom lens without the extra weight of a dedicated macro, with very little image degradation.
