Corporate Photography with Limo Hire Company
Corporate photo shoots are more complicated but way more interesting than people often think. Some of the most interesting character studies can come out of corporate photo shoots. Part of the charm is to make the job look effortless. So let’s dive in a day in the life of a Full Day Shoot with Lux Limousines in Sydney and see if it will show why corporate photo shoots can be a lot of fun even though it is work.
Preparing in advance is crucial
Creating a glamorous photo shoot for corporate clients can include transportation. Sometimes they wish to have a limousine in the shots themselves. Whichever way it goes, Lux Limousines comes prepared. The things I did before I settled on anything included:
- Collected as much information as I could squeeze out of the client
- Researching and visiting venues
- Called many car hire companies
- Called the client several times to make an agreement
- Look at work of other photographers and talk to them for advice and inspiration
Researching limousine hire companies is not on the CV of a photographer, but we are ready to pull out all the stops if the working relationship with the client is good. There is no stone left unturned in the process, because we are creating amazing memories. And Lux Limousines is all about that.
Different cars for different events
Funky parties? Weird weddings? Not a problem. The fleet is well equipped, no matter the occasion.
- School formals
- Airport transfers
- Corporate transport
- Family events
It doesn’t matter what the occasion is. Once the limousine is ordered, the clients don’t have to worry anymore. They can simply enjoy their day on the way.
The staff is highly professional and issues when organising a Full Day Shoot with Lux Limousines Sydney because all their staff is accredited, polite, and they know how to work as a part of a team.
Have you ever hired a limousine before? Well, everything happens for the first time, right? The fleet at Lux Limousines offers several different car options, such as:
- Mercedes Benz Sedan
- Mercedes Benz People Mover
- Ferrari F430
- Hummer Stretch
- BMW Sedan
- Chrysler 300C Stretch
Sorting out transport is not on the CV either, but sometimes it is a requirement to be able to negotiate, argue and find compromises between clients and third parties. Makes life more interesting.
Location, location, location
Photographers not only have to be able to work directly and indirectly with people, they also need some scout sniper qualities. Different shoots require different locations, and photographers try to find new and better ones every day.
Sydney is a fantastic location for photography, depending on the occasion it has everything – beach settings, urban settings, concert halls for a red carpet, you name it.
After looking at several websites and places, for example http://www.oakshotel.com.au/ it was clear that the venue had to provide both the atmosphere and the space for a corporate event. Picking out the best cars for the event was easier after the location was established.
I mean, you don’t want to order a Ferrari to go to the beach, since it simply would look silly. We used the Mercedes Benz People Mover and their Mercedes Benz Sedan – both with very well-mannered and photogenic chauffeurs.
Get ready, gear up, go
Preferences of gear are individual. I have always used a Canon camera, simply because it was my first, and I fell in love. These days I work with Canon EOS 5D Mark III which has been with me for a little while now. It was a sizeable upgrade for me, but it works well with different settings and light options.
The 5D was highly recommended by other professionals using and after looking at several options, I settled for it. Now I also have a 50mm Sigma Lens to go with it among all the other options. Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art and their other products seem to agree with me quite well where gear is concerned.
I wasn’t so sure about the flash for it, since I’ve had a few in my day. In the end I settled for the Speedlite 600EX-RT, and it seems to do the magic. I think I looked at more than a dozen different ones before settling on this one. It was quite a journey in itself. Eventually this a friend helped me choose and I haven’t looked back since.
The shoot was a lot of fun, and working together we created happy memories for the Lux Limousines, as well as new partnerships in the process.
If you are thinking of hiring a limo make sure you check out the guys at Lux, they’ll be sure to give you a great deal. Tell them I sent you.
