Workshop Description
The World famous Great Ocean Road is home to some of Australia’s most dramatic costal scenery and visiting there in May is the best time to capture it as winter storms bring big waves, great light and dramatic skies. We spend our days out in the field exploring the area and working on the techniques required to capture professional quality landscape images.

Suitable For:
The course is designed for all experience levels from beginner to advanced. It is a fantastic chance to develop your existing photographic skills (and learn some new ones) while out in the field with an experienced instructor and professional photographer.

After dinner on the first evening we will have an informal chat to help the group get to know one another as and to work out each participant’s level and goals for the workshop. This helps us decide upon what we need to cover in the workshops and makes sure everyone’s aims are covered. During photography down time participants are invited to show a few images from the days shoots to be critiqued in a friendly, learning environment. During this time we will also go over some of  the more technical aspects of digital photography.
This workshop is ideal for anyone who wants to learn more about nature photography, composition and lighting in an outdoor setting in a unique Australian environment.

What to Expect:
Each day starts with an early morning shoot to capture the sunrise at a location decided the previous evening taking weather and light into account. Breakfast follows back at our accommodation with theory lessons following. More theory after lunch before heading out for a sunset shoot.  After dinner we will have a critique of the days images as well as going over any thing that came up during the evening shoot.  The days are very long, starting well before sunrise often not finishing until quiet late. The experience of one to one tuition in the field and classroom sessions is well worth the effort f the long days to take your photography to the next level.
